Greenie Police Strike – Horde the Dish-Detergent!
Washington State is probably one of the most liberal states in the union. There are large numbers of global warming fanatics who reside in the region and push this liberal agenda item and faulty science.
Green policies will become stricter with this extremely radical and progressive administration that we currently have in office both in the White House and in Congress. Many are seeing this already occur at the state level…
The most recent case is in Spokane Washington where restrictions have been put in place on phosphates for specific products going into the water like dish detergent and several soap products. This latest ban on soap to curb water pollution is giving us a whole different genre of criminal now – dish-detergent smugglers. I wouldn’t want to be caught in a prison shower with these people – this time if I drop the soap – they would just steal it!
SPOKANE, Wash. – The quest for squeaky-clean dishes has turned some law-abiding people in Spokaneinto dishwater-detergent smugglers. They are bringing Cascade or Electrasol in from out of state because the eco-friendly varieties required under Washington state law don’t work as well. Spokane County became the launch pad last July for the nation’s strictest ban on dishwasher detergent made with phosphates, a measure aimed at reducing water pollution. The ban will be expanded statewide in July 2010, the same time similar laws take effect in several other states.
But it’s not easy to get sparkling dishes when you go green.
Ya think? plates will just have to be left crusty – or instead of using the good china at dinner we’ll just use paper plates and create more waste and garbage for all those enviro-friendly nuts.
Here is the list of other states implementing the ban – watch out, because your state could be next (mine is… Maryland).
Among other states that have banned or are banning phosphates in dishwasher detergent are Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Michigan, Vermont, Minnesota, Illinois, Massachusetts and New York. A bill on Capitol Hill would impose a nationwide ban.
