UPDATE II: More Details Trickle Out, But Let the Blame Game Begin; UPDATE: 14 Dead 26 Wounded; NY Massacre: 12-13 Dead at Immigration Center

UPDATE II:

First of all please keep all the families and people associated with this horrible crime in your thoughts and prayers.

As more details trickle out about the lone gunman we find out that not only does the Taliban want to take credit for the killings:

A Pakistani Taliban militant leader has claimed responsibility for the attack on a U.S. immigration center in New York state in which 13 people were killed, Reuters reported.

“I accept responsibility. They were my men. I gave them orders in reaction to U.S. drone attacks,” Baituallah Mehsud told Reuters by telephone from an undisclosed location on Saturday.

But we learn that the gunman was living in the United State for 28 years after coming here from Vietnam.  He still needed to take language classes or what-not at the Civics Association that he recently shot up which strikes me as odd but we are also finding this out about the immigrant himself (he was an immigrant by the way – although the cable news networks don’t want to mention that fact).

The maniac who shot 13 people dead in a Binghamton immigration center before killing himself was described Friday as an angry loner who loved guns, hated America and talked about assassinating the President.

Kevin Greene, who once worked with 41-year-old mass murderer Jiverly Voong, said a question about a New York Yankees T-shirt he was wearing brought out his dark side.

Greene said, “I asked him if he liked the Yanks,” and “he said, ‘No, I don’t like that team. I don’t like America. America sucks.’”

It was unclear if Voong was threatening the life of former President Bush or President Obama.

“He was a very nice guy, but he seemed very, very depressed,” said Shafi.

Voong often mentioned that his wife and kids had left him, Shafi said.

“He once said to me, ‘I did everything good for everybody, but nobody ever did anything good for me.’”

But of course the left finds the need to blame the incident not on the person who actually committed these crimes, who was obviously disturbed for quite some time, but rather on the following list.  I am going to put this out there, from my own personal experiences in life and having to pull myself up by the boot straps and take an inventory of myself… If there is one thing I can’t stand it is victimization and not taking responsibility for your own actions – something the left does extremely well.  Here is the list of their current scapegoats, click on the links:

IBM and corporate greed. (He didn’t work at IBM – he worked at Shop Vac new reports say)

The Second Amendment.

The NRA.

Fox News.

Me. FreeRepublic.com RedState.com

Lou Dobbs.

“Your 2nd Amendment rights at work. The NRA is answerable for this.”

Michele Bachmann. (we had a commenter here who also believed this – INSANE)

Conservative talk radio.

All right-wingers. (And the commenter went into a rant about right-wingers… liberals always need to point the finger)

And I will get this out there right now – the individual didn’t work at IBM that was a false statement made by the media – he worked at a place called Shop Vac… And even if he did work at IBM – almost 4 million employees have been laid off in the past 4 months while jobs move overseas for cheaper labor and more business friendly atmospheres, and he is the only one who went off half-cocked – again, blame the criminal not everyone else!

With that being said, they will try to pass off more gun-control and I personally find it interesting that the more laws the United States and the left pass – the worse things become and these crimes still continue.  Has anyone seen the inner cities like Baltimore, Detroit, New Orleans etc. that normally vote Democrat?  Yeah – they are doing real well last time I checked…

Liberals will use any excuse in the book to try and exploit something horrific for their own use and their own cause to pass their agenda – here’s a great picture that sums up what they try to do and it’s despicable.

It’s interesting to see that the United Nations keeps statistics on countries that have the highest crime rates in Europe and you guessed it:  the United Kindgom/Scotland is the worst – again see videos below:

And the Swiss who don’t have any gun restriction laws have the lowest crime rate – they actually request that every abled body citizen carry a gun – it’s part of their defense policy… imagine that.

Police statistics for the year 2006 records 34 killings or attempted killings involving firearms, compared to 69 cases involving bladed weapons and 16 cases of unarmed assault. Cases of assault resulting in bodily harm numbered 89 (firearms) and 526 (bladed weapons). This represents a decline of aggravated assaults involving firearms since the early 1990s. Some 300 deaths per year are due to legally held army ordnance weapons, the large majority of these being suicides. The majority of gun crimes involving domestic violence are perpetrated with army ordnance weapons, while the majority of gun crime outside the domestic sphere involves illegally held firearms.

You think that if Binghamton and New York had more gun rights that the secretary or someone else could have had a gun in the building?  It certainly should and would deter many of these idiots from doing what they do – or at least stop them in their tracks… But not if the liberals are in charge!

UPDATE:

Fourteen are dead after a gunman went on a shooting spree inside the American Civic Association in Binghamton, according to Binghamton Police Chief Joseph Zikuski.

One of the dead has a satchel around his neck with ammunition and is believed to be the shooter, Zikuski said. Two handguns were recovered at the scene, but there was “absolutely no indication any rifle was used.”

A federal law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity told The Associated Press the shooter had identification saying he was 42-year-old Jiverly Voong. The name is an alias that the man has used in the past, said the official.

Zikuski didn’t name the man believed to be the shooter, but said the prime suspect was known to frequent the Civic Association.

The gunman entered the building through the front while firing. He had already blocked the back door with his car.

According to scanner reports, a 1993 Toyota at the scene was registered to Henry Voong of Johnson City. Zikuski said the perpetrator borrowed a car to apparently attend a class at the Civic Association.

The gunman had recently been let go from IBM, said Rep. Maurice Hinchey, whose district includes Binghamton. The gunman opened fire on a citizenship class, he told The Associated Press.

The suspect was initially described as an Asian male in his 20s, between 5-feet 8-inches and 6 feet tall, wearing a bright green nylon jacket and dark-rimmed glasses.

Broome Community College Assistant Professor Tuong Hung Nguyen was asked to work with police to communicate with the shooter. Nguyen is fluent in Vietnamese.

Well, well, well – for those of you liberals who are so quick to blame this on member of congress or a particular party – it would appear that the man himself was a visitor of the Civics Association and was also an immigrant; Vietnamese.  But as you can see from a commenter below it was apparently all Michelle Bachmann’s fault – let’s not blame the act on the individual committing the crimes but on something someone may or may not have said.

It would also seem that the man was let go from his job at IBM recently, and this would mean he had some type of grudge or just snapped from being unemployed – something that will tend to happen, unfortunately, during times of crisis and when things are completely unknown – as they are currently.

Binghamton, New York:

A gunman opened fire at an immigration services center in downtown Binghamton, N.Y. on Friday, killing as many as 13 people before authorities found him dead, officials said.

Gov. David Paterson said at a news conference that 12 or 13 people had been killed.

A law enforcement official said the body of the man believed to be the gunman was found in an office of the American Civic Association building. The official was not authorized to speak publicly about the details of an ongoing hostage situation and was talking on condition of anonymity.

The gunman barricaded the rear door of the building with his car before entering through the front door, firing his weapon, the official said.

It wasn’t clear whether the gunman was included in the number of dead provided by the governor.

The Binghamton Press & Sun Bulletin reported that citizenship classes had been scheduled Friday at the center.

The Binghamton SWAT team responded, and the FBI was sending hostage negotiators and an evidence response team to the scene. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was also sending agents to Binghamton.

Indications were that the shooter was a young male, the law enforcement official said.

The American Civic Association is an organization that helps immigrants in the Binghamton area with naturalization applications, according to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

The association describes itself as helping immigrants and refugees with counseling, resettlement, citizenship, family reunification and translators.

The association’s president, Angela Leach, “is very upset right now,” said Mike Chanecka, a friend who answered a call at her home as Leach wept in the background.

“She doesn’t know anything; she’s as shocked as anyone,” Chanecka said. “For some reason, she had the day off today. And she’s very worried about her secretary.”

Five people with gunshot wounds were being treated at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, according to hospital spokeswoman Christina Boyd.

The wounded ranged in age from 20 to their mid-50s, and their conditions ranged from stable to critical, she said.

There have been at least three mass shooting incidents in the past week… and they occurred within about ten days of Michele Bachmann’s (R-MN) extremely irresponsible call in which she said (repeatedly on WWTC-AM), “I want people to be armed and dangerous…”

I don’t think anyone can know if there’s any cause-and-effect in any of these cases… in fact, that’s probably unlikely… but I think some people in the organizations that claim to be in the business of news and/or public affairs should AT LEAST ASK Ms. Bachmann if she doesn’t think her statements were extremely irresponsible.

Her “armed and dangerous” statements were vicious in their tone and as irresponsible as anything since the days of Joe McCarthy. It’s even possible that some of the people killed in three mass shootings this week died because some nut felt encouraged by her vicious words that were intended to incite action (of some kind) from her right-wing supporters, and which specifically mentioned “armed and dangerous.”

Please spread the word on this and please contact the “news” outlets that aren’t even asking addressing this question.

Also, don’t be suckered in to a debate on gun control instead of the debate over Bachmann’s reprehensible call to violence.

Wow! You are certainly giving a lot of credit and a lot of power to just one individual, rather than blaming it on the person that actually committed these crimes. I find it very disingenuous when others try to blame someone else’s actions on an individual or group rather than looking at the person actually doing this and blaming them for their ridiculous and unhinged anger. And I guess all those illegal immigrants who have also been caught for murders recently were also incited by her words, or the people in my state of Maryland in the inner cities of Baltimore who continue to shoot each other and go on a rampage, gang vs. gang and anyone else who gets in the way. Your statement seems a little over-the-top to me to be honest. Stop pointing the finger – let’s give that a try for once! Or we could blame all the death threats of people in my home state of Connecticut on Obama who now need security since he also decided to start the pitchfork brigade against businesses – hmm… pot meet kettle…

I may be in the south… but even here in conservative land our week is 7 days, “There have been at least three mass shooting incidents in the past week… and they occurred within about ten days of Michele Bachmann’s (R-MN) extremely irresponsible call in which she said (repeatedly on WWTC-AM), “I want people to be armed and dangerous…”

It’s sad that your fallacious argument begins with a statement like this. From this beginning, I am not certain how to follow as I am certain that no matter what logic ensues, you will be lost in its glory.

Furthermore, I have listened to her recordings and I don’t recall the “armed” part. If it were true, I am armed to the teeth. However, the only place where I hear anything about her calling for people to be armed is in the MSM where they distort everything anyhow. So…BHFD!
