DHS Secretary Sings A Different Tune To Veterans Today
Janet Napolitanos’ DHS last week issued a report that basically said returning veterans were being categorized as right wing extremists and possible domestic terror threats. The report noted U.S. service members specifically.
However, veterans groups and ordinary citizens were outraged the we in uniform would be tagged as right wing extremists. After all, it is those young men and women who are out there protecting freedom and liberty. Who is Ms Napolitano to label us anything less than proud Americans! So late this week she changed here tune after the fall out:
The head of homeland security said Sunday she regrets that some people took offense over a report warning that right-wing extremist groups were trying to recruit disgruntled troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
But Secretary Janet Napolitano added that “a number of groups far too numerous to mention” want to commit domestic terrorism attacks and are looking for new recruits.
She told a cable news network the warning report that went out to American law enforcement agencies was consistent with reports that were issued before.
“Here is the important point. The report is not saying that veterans are extremists. Far from it. What it is saying is returning veterans are targets of right-wing extremist groups that are trying to recruit those to commit violent acts within the country. We want to do all we can to prevent that,” she said.
Notice she did not take back the original asessment, but simply tries to clarify the position. But I guess we should be glad this is an “apologetic” administration. So I guess we still know how they really feel.
There are groups too many to mention that want to cause trouble from within? What about our government and president that want to create turmoil, attacks etc. among the very citizens that are true American.
I see this is from Sunday – however, she sounds the same as she did last week – she apologizes depending on her audience and but still won’t fully take responsibility or denounce the report or retract the entire thing – very telling of where the liberals have gone and this administration! She seems to act like the rest of them – couch the message based on polling or the political leanings of the audience and hope that people can’t read character or value principles over rhetoric – I have news for her – we aren’t stupid!

Janet Napolitano was a weak governor of Arizona. She tried to under-mind Sherrif Arpaio’s efforts to enforce the border. Now she is trying to get rid of the greatest tool to enforce the border, E-verfy. I is almost 100% accurate. So if the illegals use a false Id/social security number, they won’t get the job, and ultimately will return to their country. What is racist about that? What is abusive about this program? Nothing. The reason she and the left wing of the Democratic Party want E-Verify repealed is simple, votes. They believe those folks and extended families will vote Democratic. So it is more important to their agenda to not enforce the law. Napolitano’s latest gaffe on the report to consider returning veterans, right wing voters, right wing media, as potential terrorists is outrages. Here we go again, the left thinks anyone who disagrees with them is un-American, suspect terrorists. This woman clearly is inept at the very least, and dangerous threat to our civil liberties. She must be fired. What concerns me is who fed her this crap. Axel-rod? Obama? Ronbo? God Bless America, and I cannot wait for the next election.
