Blame America Tour Hits Cairo, Egypt
Obama gave a 6,000 word speech today in Cairo in which he continued to lay blame on America and pander to the Muslim world. Obama seems to think that the rest of the world poops out muffins and dumplings and everything is A-OK! Hey! Obama even grew a little mustache for the event to show the Muslim world just how much he loved them!
Some excerpts from his recent speech:
The entire speech found here.
We meet at a time of tension between the United States and Muslims around the world — tension rooted in historical forces that go beyond any current policy debate. The relationship between Islam and the West includes centuries of co-existence and cooperation, but also conflict and religious wars. More recently, tension has been fed by colonialism that denied rights and opportunities to many Muslims, and a Cold War in which Muslim-majority countries were too often treated as proxies without regard to their own aspirations. Moreover, the sweeping change brought by modernity and globalization led many Muslims to view the West as hostile to the traditions of Islam.
Here is where the blame America tour begins – it was our fault – we instigated it all – although Muslims and Islam have been around much longer than the United States… but of course the cold war started everything/sarc.
Violent extremists have exploited these tensions in a small but potent minority of Muslims. The attacks of September 11th, 2001 and the continued efforts of these extremists to engage in violence against civilians has led some in my country to view Islam as inevitably hostile not only to America and Western countries, but also to human rights. This has bred more fear and mistrust.
That “minority” seems to be growing – shucks, we even have our own home-grown terrorists now, one of which just recently killed a recruiting officer who was only 23 years old, this week in Arkansas.
How about the recent beheading of Ed Dryer, a British gentleman in Africa who was kidnapped by Al-Qaeda at a music festival. The minority is growing Obama – it’s time you wake up!
I have come here to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world; one based upon mutual interest and mutual respect; and one based upon the truth that America and Islam are not exclusive, and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles — principles of justice and progress; tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.
Tolerance and dignity of all human beings (let me finish the sentence) except for WOMEN! what tolerance has the Muslim world shown women who are made to cover their faces/hair and wear burkas? What tolerance does Saudi Arabia show women who are not allowed to make eye contact or drive cars? What tolerance did Afghanistan show when flogging a woman recently? What tolerance was shown by the Saudis who tried to enforce a teenage girl to marry a man over 50 years old? His entire statement, comparing the West to the Islamic culture is insane and irrational!
I do so recognizing that change cannot happen overnight. No single speech can eradicate years of mistrust, nor can I answer in the time that I have all the complex questions that brought us to this point. But I am convinced that in order to move forward, we must say openly the things we hold in our hearts, and that too often are said only behind closed doors. There must be a sustained effort to listen to each other; to learn from each other; to respect one another; and to seek common ground. As the Holy Koran tells us, “Be conscious of God and speak always the truth.” That is what I will try to do — to speak the truth as best I can, humbled by the task before us, and firm in my belief that the interests we share as human beings are far more powerful than the forces that drive us apart.
I’m glad that he can freely quote the Koran but must avoid prayer day, going to church, exclaiming we are a Judeo-christian nation, and reading quotes from the bible – in order to not deeply offend the Muslims – this man has no dignity, principles, or character – he’s a chameleon.
As a student of history, I also know civilization’s debt to Islam. It was Islam — at places like Al-AzharUniversity — that carried the light of learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe’s Renaissance and Enlightenment. It was innovation in Muslim communities that developed the order of algebra; our magnetic compass and tools of navigation; our mastery of pens and printing; our understanding of how disease spreads and how it can be healed. Islamic culture has given us majestic arches and soaring spires; timeless poetry and cherished music; elegant calligraphy and places of peaceful contemplation. And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality.
I thought he was a law student? Not a student of history and from his statement it seems to me he didn’t do all that well in history. I’m sure the Europeans were ecstatic that the Muslims came through torturing and murdering women and children during the crusades to influence their land. I lived in Spain and actually visited Andalucia (Andalusia in English) – spending a whole day in Granada and wandering through Alhambra and learning about it and how it came to be. There is a ton of Muslim architecture in Southern Spain and believe me – it is not forgotten what occurred when they came through… I’m sure the Spanish were incredibly grateful and feel in-debted to Islam when they learned how to make candle stick holders out of baby skulls. And just to be fair here – I also visited the torture museum in Spain which showed all the utensils used during the Inquisition – that was inappropriate as well but for years religions and cultures have instigated one another. (I would also like to add that after visiting the torture museum waterboarding does not bother me in the least – it’s like eating tea and crumpets compared to what used to be done to people).
Much has been made of the fact that an African-American with the name Barack Hussein Obama could be elected President. But my personal story is not so unique. The dream of opportunity for all people has not come true for everyone in America, but its promise exists for all who come to our shores — that includes nearly seven million American Muslims in our country today who enjoy incomes and education that are higher than average.
This is where he talks about himself… AGAIN and then falsely claims that the American Dream can be reached by average citizens, however, he forgets to tell them that he has recently made that Dream much harder to realize with his interventionist/totalitarian policies.
In Ankara, I made clear that America is not — and never will be — at war with Islam. We will, however, relentlessly confront violent extremists who pose a grave threat to our security. Because we reject the same thing that people of all faiths reject: the killing of innocent men, women, and children. And it is my first duty as President to protect the American people.
What!? is that why our military has been deployed over in Iraq and more so in Afghanistan now? CAN-NOT-COMPUTE…
We also know that military power alone is not going to solve the problems in Afghanistan and Pakistan. That is why we plan to invest $1.5 billion each year over the next five years to partner with Pakistanis to build schools and hospitals, roads and businesses, and hundreds of millions to help those who have been displaced. And that is why we are providing more than $2.8 billion to help Afghans develop their economy and deliver services that people depend upon.
But, but, but I thought our country was broke Barack? That’s what you just said in your interview a couple weeks ago before your 24K+ date with Michelle Mabelle. Our country is in fact broke as evidenced by the laughing stock that Geithner was in China when he said that the U.S. was a reliable investment.
That is why we will honor our agreement with Iraq’s democratically-elected government to remove combat troops from Iraqi cities by July, and to remove all our troops from Iraq by 2012.
BWHAHAHA – anyone notice how his timeline keeps going out longer and longer? Cries from all the peacenik liberals? in 3…2…1 j/k
I know there has been controversy about the promotion of democracy in recent years, and much of this controversy is connected to the war in Iraq. So let me be clear: no system of government can or should be imposed upon one nation by any other.
I don’t think that’s what the Muslims wanted to hear and certainly not the Islamofascists who want to enforce Sharia Law onto any and all countries.
This last point is important because there are some who advocate for democracy only when they are out of power; once in power, they are ruthless in suppressing the rights of others. No matter where it takes hold, government of the people and by the people sets a single standard for all who hold power: you must maintain your power through consent, not coercion; you must respect the rights of minorities, and participate with a spirit of tolerance and compromise; you must place the interests of your people and the legitimate workings of the political process above your party. Without these ingredients, elections alone do not make true democracy.
I’m sure Hosni Mubarak was very happy about Obama discussing democracy! Then again Obama did invite 10 Muslim Brotherhood members to his speech in Cairo today.
Read the excerpt on the Muslim Brotherhood.
Ed Morrissey has a more positive take and writes: “I don’t hear anything in this speech that Bush didn’t say himself.”
Er, that’s the problem. For all the hype about fresh starts and new beginnings, Obama embraces the same blind dhimmitude that plagued the Bush administration and foggy-headed bureaucrats that infect Foggy Bottom.
Same old, same old.

President Obama mentioned the “trauma” of the September 11 jihadi attacks in his speech. Here’s another reality check. Flashback, September 12, 2008, The Blame America poll and the Blame America candidate:
A poll released this week of more than 16,000 people in 17 nations revealed that “majorities in only nine countries believe al Qaeda was behind the attacks on New York and Washington that killed about 3,000 people in 2001.” A mere 46% of individuals overall said they believed al Qaeda executed the attacks – despite all the back-patting, fist-pumping video productions from AQ’s media arm, as-Sahab, claiming credit.
…Seven years after Mohammed Atta, Hani Hanjour, and their Allahu Akbar-screaming team succeeded in slaughtering nearly 3,000 innocent men, women, and children, large numbers of our putative allies in the civilized world are still blaming America and Israel.
“Israel was behind the attacks, said 43 percent of people in Egypt, 31 percent in Jordan and 19 percent in the Palestinian Territories,” the survey found. “The U.S. government was blamed by 36 percent of Turks and 27 percent of Palestinians.” The pollsters noted that no prompting was necessary: “These responses were given spontaneously to an open-ended question that did not offer response options.”
Among our great friends south of the border, Mexico boasted “the second-largest number citing the US government as the perpetrator of 9/11 (30%, after Turkey at 36%). Only 33 percent name al Qaeda.” Which, of course, is no shock to those who remember when the U.S. soccer team was taunted with chants of“Osama! Osama! Osama!” after a match in Guadalajara four years ago; or when the team was booed again in 2005 and plastic bags filled with urine were reportedly tossed on American players.
They hate us. They still really, really hate us. And it is not all about Iraq. As a Mexican soccer fan told the Christian Science Monitor: “‘Every schoolboy knows about 1848. . . . When they robbed our territory,’ referring to when Texas, California and New Mexico were annexed to the U.S. as part of a peace treaty ending the war between the two countries, ‘that was the beginning.’”
Not coincidentally, another world opinion poll was released this week that dovetails with the 9/11 survey. While the global community refuses to unite against al Qaeda as a common enemy to humanity, it has decided on who should be America’s next president. The BBC-commissioned poll named Barack Obama the world’s favorite candidate by an overwhelming margin of four to one. They see in their fellow “citizen of the world” a kindred spirit:
Someone whose former spiritual mentor shares the European elite’s “chickens coming home to roost” schadenfreude. Someone who has promoted the need for “empathy” toward the head-chopping jihadists. Someone who shares their fetishizing of terrorists as poor victims of imperialism in need more “understanding” and “education.” Someone who cynically hawks “Buy American” campaign stickers while courting the “Blame America” Left at home and abroad.
Obama is their man. Never forget.
Nor should we forget his avoidance of his Muslim heritage, which he now touts to the Muslim world as common ground and a valid reason to listen to him… Why was he so afraid of it before? So take for example some of his words and compare that to what was disclosed/said during his campaign and ask yourself, how many times can a man spin and lie before you no longer trust him? I know that I never trusted him after the Jeremiah Wright business – I have no respect for those who constantly throw people under the bus and omit facts or spin them.
As Barack Obama sends his message to the Muslim world, it’s fascinating to compare his statements, and those of his staff, with things he said during the presidential campaign. In his speech this morning, he said:
I am a Christian, but my father came from a Kenyan family that includes generations of Muslims. As a boy, I spent several years in Indonesia and heard the call of the azaanat the break of dawn and the fall of dusk. As a young man, I worked in Chicago communities where many found dignity and peace in their Muslim faith.
While the president was a little vague about his father’s religion, in a briefing before the speech, national security aide Denis McDonough was a bit more explicit:
I think the fact is, that the President himself experienced Islam on three continents before he was able to — or before he’s been able to visit, really, the heart of the Islamic world — you know, growing up in Indonesia, having a Muslim father — obviously Muslim Americans [are] a key part of Illinois and Chicago.
Contrast those statements to remarks Obama made to a Jewish organization in Cleveland in February 2008:
My grandfather, who was Kenyan, converted to Christianity, then converted to Islam. My father never practiced; he was basically agnostic. So, other than my name and the fact that I lived in a populous Muslim country for four years when I was a child, I have very little connection to the Islamic religion.
If we are to heed any recent statements maybe we should be forewarned by, of all people, Hugo Chavez who stated that if he and Fidel aren’t careful, they will actually be conservative/towards he right compared to Obama. Even those two didn’t move as fast nationalizing private industry as Barack Obama has!
The Israeli’s are super-excited about Obama’s policies and his pandering to the Muslim world. To show their excitement they have created posters!
Damned If You Do, Damned If You Don’t; Osama Not Happy With Obama
Osama Bin Laden is not very happy with Obama’s outreach and attempt at sweet talking the Muslim world. He made a statement today that Obama is basically Bush II.
Shortly after President Obama landed in Saudi Arabia, Osama bin Laden’s homeland, a new audio tape purported to be from the al Qaeda leader was aired today on Al Jazeera television network.
“President Obama’s presence in the kingdom obviously touches a raw nerve,” said former counterterrorism official Dick Clarke, now an ABC News consultant. “Bin Laden founded al Qeada in the first place because of the American presence there.”
In his latest audio message, bin Laden warns Americans to prepare for war as the policies of Obama are no different from those of former President George W. Bush in the eyes of al Qaeda.
Bin Laden makes reference to this spring’s violence in the Swat Valley of Pakistan, indicating that he recorded his message relatively recently.
Just keep saying it to yourself: “Hope and Change, Hope and Change.” I don’t think it matters to the radical Islamofascists, whether you are nice or not – could Obama win some people over? Sure, that happens with anyone, but I just hope that some people realize that the true terrorists have one goal and that is the destruction of the West and Israel and they could care less how you speak, how you carry yourself, what your roots were, or how much you try to kowtow… They have a goal and that’s Islamic rule.
Obama In French Interview: “United States is One of the Largest Muslim Countries”
This is a french interview. If you can speak French you can watch it.
I think the MSM will show it soon in the US Channel.
You’ll find the videos through the Figaro link.
For a U.S. translation (but from the White House itself) go to this link.
The Panderer in Chief is at it again and this time pandering yet again to the Muslim world while in France. Obama made sure he didn’t say in Turkey that the United States is not a Christian nation built upon Judea-Christian tenants because it might offend the Muslims, but of course he could care less about America when overseas and actually exclaim that it’s ok to say the United States is one of the largest Muslim countries!?
Here is the breakdown of religions in the United States by percentage:
Christian: (78.4%)
Protestant (51.3%)
Roman Catholic (23.9%)
LDS (1.7%)
Jehovah’s Witness (0.7%)
Orthodox (0.6%)
other Christian (0.3%)
no religion (16.1%)
Jewish (1.7%)
Buddhist (0.7%)
Muslim (0.6%)
Hindu (0.4%)
other (1.2%)
In 2007 wikipedia ranked the US 39th in the world for Muslim population – is this wishful thinking on Obama’s part? Let’s see the numbers of some of the most heavily populated Muslim countries:
Saudi Arabia: 27,601,038
Yemen: 23,013,376
Iran: 70,472,846
Egypt: 76M
This portion of the interview takes place at the 3:35 minute mark +/-
Here is the French:
“D’ailleurs, si l’on compte le nombre d’Américains musulmans, on voit que les Etats-Unis sont l’un des plus grands pays musulmans de la planète», …
Avant d’ajouter : «Ce que j’essaye de faire, c’est de créer un meilleur dialogue pour que le monde musulman puisse mieux comprendre comment les Etats-Unis, mais plus généralement le monde occidental, conçoivent certains problèmes difficiles, tels que le terrorisme ou la démocratie».
“the United States and the western world must learn with better understanding, Islam. Elsewhere, if the number is counted; Moslem Americans, it is seen that the United States is one of the largest Moslem countries of planet,” dares in an interview with Canal, the first granted, Obama added “What I try to make, is to create a better dialogue so that the Muslim world can better include/understand how the United States, but more generally the western world, conceives certain difficult problems, such as terrorism or democracy”.
So terrorism and democracy are comparable when it comes to how problematic they are? Democracy & Terrorism – let’s think about that one for a minute here folks!
It’s incredible to me that after doing all this research on my own (and I know others who did the same before the election) people are now surprised that they are finding out that Obama had Muslim influences on his life growing up – some of those who voted for him are only just realizing this today? He already gave a personal commitment speech to Muslims earlier and that didn’t raise ring any alarms? just unbelievable to me – I am speechless!
You are going to tell me that everyone was so drunk on the kool-aid that they forgot this slip up with Stephanopolous last year?
Recruiter Shooter Was Recent Convert to Islam, Abdul Muhammad
Details are trickling out regarding the shooter of the two soldiers yesterday in Arkansas. Carlos Bledsoe, at only 24 years old, recently converted to Islam possibly on a trip to Yemen. He changed his name upon his conversion to Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad. Abdul will be charged with 15 counts of terrorism and capital murder.
Little Rock Police Chief Stuart Thomas says Muhammad intentionally targeted military personnel.
23-year-old Private William Long, of Conway, died as a result of his injuries.
18-year-old Private Second Class Quinton Ezeagwula, of Jacksonville, was also shot. Chief Thomas says he is in stable condition and will recover.
Police say Muhammad opened fire because of his religious beliefs. He was a recent convert to Islam.
“We have no indication that the suspect did act alone and of his own accord, and it’s our belief he acted with a specific intent to target military personnel and did so unilaterally and did so with intent today and today only,” Thomas said.
Police say Muhammad had never met his victims.
The following was also learned of the man in custody:
I have learned from a well-placed source that Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, who killed one soldier and wounded another at a a Little Rock military recruiting center today, and who faces charges of terrorism as well as first-degree murder, has recently returned from Yemen, where he studied jihad with an Islamic scholar there.
Apparently the Islamic scholar under whom this American convert to Islam studied was yet another misunderstander of Islam’s true, peaceful teachings.
Another interesting point to note regarding the name of the criminal is his chosen middle name, Mujahid. Mujahid means ‘One who fights the Jihad’ or ‘Holy Fighter.’ The plural is Mujahadin and the translation is basically the one who kills and fights in the name of religion.
I wonder when Obama will come out with a statement of outrage condemning this deadly, violent act as he did with the Dr. Tiller murder… 14 hrs. later and still counting… crickets*
The fact that, in Janet Napolitano’s (JaNo) words, we had a home grown man-made disaster, of all places, in the south, that should raise some major alarms and Americans should be made aware of it. We hadn’t been attacked for 7.5 years and within the past couple weeks we had a terrorist plot intercepted in NYC and a failed interception of this young man who murdered a U.S. soldier and injured another. I hope the military personnel takes note of how much Obama really cares about them!
The liberally biased media should be ashamed of itself for covering this story up from the public!
Tiller’s Killer; The Demonization of the Pro-Life Movement Begins (Oh the Hypocrisy)
Late Sunday morning at a church service in Wichita, Kansas, Dr. George Tiller, who was under investigation and brought up on charges for late-term abortions, the most conducted nationwide by any doctor, was gunned down by another man.
Dr. Tiller was shot and killed on Sunday by the man currently in custody, Scott Roeder, a 51-year-old.
Tiller’s Women’s Health Care Services clinic is one of just three in the nation where abortions are performed after the 21st week of pregnancy. The clinic was heavily fortified and Tiller often traveled with a bodyguard, but Stolz said there was no indication of security at the church Sunday.
Anti-abortion groups denounced the shooting and stressed that they support only nonviolent protest. The movement’s leaders fear the killing could create a backlash just as they are scrutinizing U.S. Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor, whose views on abortion rights are not publicly known.
“We are shocked at this morning’s disturbing news that Mr. Tiller was gunned down,” Troy Newman, Operation Rescue’s president, said in a statement. “Operation Rescue has worked for years through peaceful, legal means, and through the proper channels to see him brought to justice. We denounce vigilantism and the cowardly act that took place this morning.”
[...]
Tiller remained prominent in the news, in part because of an investigation begun by former Kansas Attorney General Phill Kline, an abortion opponent. (Tiller also had suspicious ties and money attributed to Kathleen Sebelius – Obama’s HHS cabinet member).
Prosecutors had alleged that Tiller had gotten second opinions from a doctor who was essentially an employee of his, not independent as state law requires. A jury in March acquitted Tiller of all 19 misdemeanor counts.
“I am stunned by this lawless and violent act, which must be condemned and should be met with the full force of law,” Kline said in a statement. “We join in lifting prayer that God’s grace and presence rest with Dr. Tiller’s family and friends.”
So what do we know about Roeder? (We don’t know much)
There are contradicting reports of what this man was involved in and what he supported and there is also a very suspicious comment on a youtube clip from 3 weeks ago that warned about Scott Roeder – calling him a con-man so people need to stop jumping to conclusions first and foremost.
Here is an article that states he is not part of the pro-life movement, but rather part of fringe non-government, militia groups.
Here is an article that gives accounts by his friends that he was in fact anti-abortion.
Then there is the youtube clip here, with the following comment (3 weeks ago page 5 for comments):

watch out for scott roeder
hes the biggest fraud con man
on earth yehweh bless
This was an unfortunate event and we can already assume that the liberals and the media will take this to the nth degree to demonize the pro-life movement which has been gaining speed and actually showed great improvement as far as where America falls on the issue as recently as last month when 51% agreed with pro-life causes. I think Governor Palin sums it up with her statement that she issued today:
“I feel sorrow for the Tiller family. I respect the sanctity of life and the tragedy that took place today in Kansas clearly violates respect for life. This murder also damages the positive message of life, for the unborn, and for those living. Ask yourself, ‘What will those who have not yet decided personally where they stand on this issue take away from today’s event in Kansas?’
Regardless of my strong objection to Dr. Tiller’s abortion practices, violence is never an answer in advancing the pro-life message.”
However, the liberals are blaming, as usual, Rush, Bill O’Reilly, Ann Coulter, among other prominent conservatives (I’m sure Sarah Palin will be blamed as well – they love bashing a genuine person). Here are some comments being made by the leftists already:
This man hates women unless he controls them.
That pretty much is standard operating procedure for a lot of anti abortionists. Women are great as long as they are under their control.
[...]
Bill O’Reilly should be arrested for conspiracy to commit murder.
[...]
I am surprised O’Reilly has not been sued for defamation for this. That’s the minimum he should be held to. Just because he did not come right out for the assination of Dr. Tiller, he cannot escape his own significant contribution to his death.
He has blood on his OWN hands now. As well as all of those who have provided comfort and refuge to the Army of God and the rest of the wingnut American Taliban. They are the worst kind of fascists.
[...]
Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity, O’Reilly, Savage, Beck–they all preach hatred. Hatred is their game. Inferior people have to have someone to look down upon. Racism is more often found among frustrated people who try to elevate themselves by comparing themselves with those who have less, or who are “just different” (skin color, for example).
It all comes out finally, whether it is the mass killings on a campus, or an abortion doctor. These hate mongers bear much of the responsibility for what is going on. Why they are allowed to use the publicly owned airwaves to spread their venom is hard to understand.
[...]
So my question to Ann Coulter is: Did George Tiller have “a procedure performed on him with a rifle”? Did he simply get his just desserts?
If the murderer was not a follower of Coulter’s, he certainly acted from the sort of hateful sentiment she disseminates in popular and right-wing media.
So the moonbats, as usual, attack not the gunman, but those on the outskirts as the conspirators or the probable cause of this murder. I hate the victim mentality and believe all people need to take responsibility for their own actions – this was one lone gunman/loon who murdered somebody – not an entire movement or political ideology.
Based on the above, there is a lot of contradicting evidence upon who Scott Roeder really is and also an interesting youtube comment from 3 weeks ago which seemed to warn people of this guy!? Um… there is something incredibly suspicious here and I think that there needs to be more investigation first, before all the tin-foil hats are donned by the liberals to come up with some kooky conspiracy theories.
The hypocrisy in all of this is that I could just as easily demonize the entire Left for the environmental activist bombings that took place in the 90’s which killed people, or I could say that Obama, Clinton, Biden, CNN, NBC, etc. are responsible for illegal immigrants murdering American citizens because they are for amnesty and won’t disclose these murders in public or call the individuals illegals – but technically the accountability should always be on the person who committed the crime(s).
There is fringe on both sides of the aisle and anyone who believes in ideological purity is not somebody that I feel is all that sane. I believe strongly in the platforms and principles of the right and will always preach those values as well as call out the other side. That’s not to say that I can’t see good on the Left time to time or also admit when those on the Right were wrong.
This was a tragic event and it’s something that we all need to think long and hard about and stop demonizing one another over the crazy actions of a lone gunman. It’s too bad that Dr. Tiller’s life had to end the way it did, there is nothing to be gained from taking someone’s life in cold blood, whether you agreed with the Dr. or not (two wrongs don’t make a right). This hurts the pro-life movement, not because they agreed, in fact, it is just the opposite; all pro-life groups that are main stream have condemned Scott Roeder’s acts, but the media and the left will use this incident as a means to an end and will use one person to define the “whole.” It’s incredibly disingenuous and incredibly hypocritical to do so.
