Biden, The Joint Chiefs of Gaffe, Speaks Out on Iran Before Obama
Biden, although a bit dimwitted and always good for a laugh, actually tends to tell the truth from time to time, which is not always a good thing.
I was taught that honesty is the best policy, and in most circumstances, that is the case. However, politics is an entirely different situation, especially when dealing with a foreign country. Politicians have to be more cognizant of not only what they say but when they say it.
So, although Biden was correct in his assessment of Iran’s election results, his candid statement today regarding the validity of the election was probably not the smartest thing to say. I’m sure Obama is not that happy about this:
Vice President Joe Biden, going further than any other high-ranking American official to date in questioning the validity of last Friday’s election, said Sunday that “there’s some real doubt” that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was legitimately re-elected as president of Iran.
It’s also interesting that on the same day as Biden’s statement, the European Union exclaims the following:
The Presidency of the Council of the EU closely followed the course of the Presidential elections held on 12 June 2009 and notices Mr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was re-elected for the second term as the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Presidency is concerned about alledged irregularities during the election process and post-electional violence that broke out immediately after the release of the official election results on 13 June 2009.
The Presidency hopes that outcome of the Presidential elections will bring the opportunity to resume the dialogue on nuclear issue and clear up Iranian position in this regard. The Presidency expects the new Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran will take its responsibility towards international community and respect its international obligations.
The EU, in essence, is recognizing the legitimacy of the Iranian elections and the new administration of Ahmadinejad. However, it calls the protests irregular, not Ahmadinejad’s win. This is one of the reasons I don’t ever want America compared to Europe – we are much better.
Biden may not have been politically correct and may have upset his boss, but I happen to personally agree with him on this one. This is technically a gaffe, because Obama has not come out in support of Biden’s statement or opinion on this issue. Obama, being the Commander in Chief is Joe Biden’s boss and should speak out on Iran’s election first. A politician has to always watch what he or she says… something that Biden has long forgotten how to do. If we find that yet again this administration contradicts itself by saying two different things, it certainly looks bad and shows a real lack of knowledge and/or leadership on how to manage a country.
The individual that we should be most concerned about is Obama – when will he say anything definitive about Iran?

Not only does Joe Biden make fun of Obama for his security blanket, the TelePrompTer, but he also states that their administration should not be blamed for any GDP growth… wait – WHAT!? LOL!
I think that Goofy Joe doesn’t understand basic English – I believe he made up some words in this next speech about economic growth, which he contradicts, because we all know that a green economy is not a productive one… And remember don’t judge him on GDP growth that doesn’t matter!
Gaffetastic Biden Contradicts Boss!
He does it again; Opens mouth, inserts foot!
Biden, when speaking and taking questions at his recent Kosovo excursion, was asked about the closing of Guantanamo:
So will Obama fulfill his vow – announced amid great fanfare in an executive order on day two of his presidency – to close the facility by January 2010? “I think so,” Biden responded, according to Newsweek’s Holly Bailey.
So perhaps he will. Or perhaps not. We’ll see.
Biden continued: “But, look, what the president said is that this is going to be hard. It’s like opening Pandora’s Box. We don’t know what’s inside the box.”
He also said that “to the best of my knowledge” the number of prisoners “who are a real danger who are not able to returned or tried” has “not been established” by the Obama administration.
So he basically just confirmed his predecessor Dick Cheney’s analysis that the decision was taken “with little deliberation, and no plan”.
BWAHAHAHA! I have to wonder if he is doing this on purpose… I did happen to hear that there is quite a bit of tension between POTUS and VPOTUS.
As another example, it would seem that Biden likes Palin more than Obama or at least he is definitely smitten by her:
After noting that the Alaska National Guard gave him a copy of its patch, the Veep moved on to Gov. Sarah Palin.
“Where the hell were you when I was debating Sarah Palin?” Biden said. “I could have used this patch. When she said, ‘Can I call you Joe?’ I’d say, ‘Sure, if you wear your patch.’ By the way, she’s quite a lady — and I mean that sincerely.”

Biden truly is the gift that keeps on giving and the poor old man just can’t keep his mouth shut. I wonder if they make Pepto-Bismol for oral diarrhea ~ the least he could do is strap a diaper to his face…
Vice President Joe Biden, well-known for his verbal gaffes, may have finally outdone himself, divulging potentially classified information meant to save the life of a sitting vice president.
According to a report, while recently attending the Gridiron Club dinner in Washington, an annual event where powerful politicians and media elite get a chance to cozy up to one another, Biden told his dinnermates about the existence of a secret bunker under the old U.S. Naval Observatory, which is now the home of the vice president.
The bunker is believed to be the secure, undisclosed location former Vice President Dick Cheney remained under protection in secret after the 9/11 attacks.
As if endangering his own life wasn’t enough to make a joke about his predecessor (sometimes liberals are so daft because they are so intent on blaming and demonizing everyone else – they forget about common decency and common sense), he has also endangers America’s foreign relations. The Balkan states have dredged up old interviews and records that prove Biden has said some very demeaning and inflammatory things about Serbians, etc. This is coming out due to a recent trip that has been scheduled for Biden to go to the region to “reset” tiesto the Balkan States (many are protesting the visit).
On the occasion of the announced Belgrade visit of the U.S. vice president Joseph Biden, one of the most virulent Serbophobes in Washington, representatives of the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) and New Serbia (NS) today submitted to the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs a set of documents containing records of Biden’s racist anti-Serbian slurs and insults.
DSS Parliament representative Jovan Palalić told gathered reporters that submitted documents are a reminder of the things current American vice president and former senator was saying and of the vicious crusade he relentlessly lead against Serbian nation and state.
The records include Biden’s unforgettable appearance on CNN’s Larry King Live, when he said that “Serbs are illiterate degenerates, baby killers, butchers and rapists”, his assertion during Senatorial deliberations in 1999 over NATO aggression against Serbia that “all Serbs should be placed in Nazi-style concentration camps” and other equally unforgivable outbursts of hatred and malice.
While advocating a “unified Bosnia”, without the Serb Republic and dominated by Izetbegovic’s and Silajdzic’s cutthroats, amputation of the cradle of Serbian state — Kosovo and Metohija province — and then an indivisible “Kosovo state” with “inviolable borders”, at the same time Biden also promoted dismemberment of Iraq and its division into three states.
“We are convinced that Biden’s statements and policies are entirely contrary to the interests of Serbia and Serbian people,” Palalić said, adding that Biden’s bellicose hatred of Serbs “culminated in the bombardment of Serbia and was crowned by the illegal secession and declaration of independence of the fake state of Kosovo”.
“His meeting with Serbian officials will most probably be punctuated with the new pressures on our state, urging Serbia to establish ‘good neighborly relations’ with the fake state, weakening the institutions of Republic of Srpska [Bosnia-Herzegovina], as well as pushing Serbia to renege on its military neutrality and to begin the process of joining NATO pact”, Palalić said.
I realize that many will request proof of such unbelievable words from even Biden’s mouth, so here is a video that is not all that inflammatory but certainly makes some offensive remarks and inaccurate historical statements towards the Serbs as well as the war criminal who sits beside Biden…
