Say Whaaat!?
Has the spin of the administration got you questioning what you heard? When you see what has happened this past week is your head spinning like Linda Blair? You are not alone. So much of the week’s events have me not only questioning my own intelligence (which has been arguably questionable for years) but also my sanity (um.. ditto). So, I decided to launch this tirade to see if I am alone in my sanity. For instance:
President Bush’s $600 tax rebate was ridiculed by the liberals as inadequate and ludicrous. At the time Senator Daschle (D-SD) even paraded a car bumper around as “what you can get for $600.” With the spendulous bill, a $400 tax CREDIT is the best thing since sliced bread… SAY WHAAAT!?
Nancy Pelosi refused to join Harry Reid in a called press conference, that was to announce the agreement between the house and senate bills, because she hadn’t seen the language of the hammered out negotiations, “you have to see the language. In other words, words have power, and they make a difference.” Yet, she refused to release the final 1000+ page bill to the house until it was far too late for anyone to actually read it… SAY WHAAAT!?
For three weeks Obama has been preaching about the dire need our economy is in and that we must act now to pass the spendulous bill in order to receive an immediate jolt to our economy. Now that the bill has been passed, he is singing a new tune, “it may take years before we see the effects of it.” … SAY WHAAAT!?
I’m getting jet lag from all the back and forth!
I know a lot has happened this week and we could fill volumes from the “say whaaat!?” moments.
Add your SAY WHAAAT moment here. I am certain you have heard something I didn’t because after a while, I actually went catatonic listening to it all.
Yeah, I said it…

Obama is considering yet another mortgage bailout. Of course, this time it is being cloaked with the term ‘foreclosure prevention.’ In all of this, I am reminded of my dad.
My father served his country in two wars and worked hard to provide for his wife and 5 kids. He kept his credit crystal clean and bought his first house after he scrimped and saved for a down payment. My father didn’t take short cuts and never believed in a free ride. Were he alive today he would probably shoot himself for being such a schmuck. Yeah, I said it, schmuck. Isn’t that what you call someone who works for what he has when he could have gotten it for free? No?
Evidentally, that is what our President thinks of the hard working middle class. He is spending TRILLIONS to bailout businesses that are “too big to fail” that should, by all rights, fail. He is spending TRILLIONS more to bailout homeowners who should be renters and the banks who made the loans when they should have declined. And with the trillions upon trillions of OUR dollars being used to bailout these deadbeats (and save mice, prevent std’s, pay for abortions, and study fish) the hard working middle class is getting a huge thank you. Obama is going to allow you to keep $13 of your money. Thank you Mr. Obama. I will take that thirteen dollars and send it to SarahPac.com. Now who’s the schmuck?
Lest we forget what happened the last time we bailed out mortgages:
Get a Job Schumer!

Yesterday, Senator Schumer (D-NY) said the American people don’t care about the pork in the stimulus bill. I know, I know… I had to pick myself up off the floor after I heard it, too.
With the revelation that none of the hundreds of thousands of calls, emails, and faxes went to Senator Schumer (they couldn’t have, could they? I mean, for him to make such a ludricrous statement surely he didn’t receive any of those pleas to stop the Porkulous Bill, right?) I decided it was time for me to figure out who this guy is. Not surprisingly, I found out he is a nobody. Oops, I mean he is a Harvard grad/career politician who never had a real day of work in his life.
This is your life Charles Schumer:
He attended Harvard College in 1968
After completing his undergraduate degree, he continued to Harvard Law School, earning his Juris Doctor in 1974. He chose not to practice law but to enter politics.
In 1974, Schumer ran for and was elected to the New York State Assembly, at age 23.
He served three terms, from 1975-1980.
1980 elected to House of Representatives.
1998-current, Senator.
You be the judge. Has this man ever done an honest day’s work? Is he qualified to know what issues concern you and me? I think not.
