Obama Campaign Still Funding Operations
Obama is still campaigning or so it would seem. His fund is still in full swing and completely operational. He is a product being marketed to the masses and therefore needs advertising, publicity, telemarketing, PR, you name it!
What’s sad is this man and his “machine” should be focusing on the country and not the man’s popularity and promotion. I realize that these folks only know how to conduct machine politics, they are in fact from Chicago, however, I would hope for the sake of all of us we would see a change of heart from the man and consideration for the common man and not his own ego. That is something that sadly just does not exist with career politicians and Obama himself.
If you glanced at the expense side of the report filed Wednesday night by President Obama’s campaign committee, you might be excused for thinking there was a presidential election afoot.
Obama for America, the fundraising juggernaut that powered Obama’s ascent to the presidency, spent nearly $9.5 million in the first three months of this year, including $684,000 on telemarketing and print and online advertising, $994,000 on event staging and $310,000 on payroll and taxes.
To be sure, some of the payments stem from bills accrued in early January — or even the end of last year — before Obama took the oath of office, and others come from normal shut-down costs. Plus the campaign committee is no longer raising money; it came into the year with $18.3 million in the bank and finished the first quarter with $10 million on hand.
Yet the report shows that Obama’s campaign continued to be of use well after Election Day and suggests it still maintains some semblance of operational capacity.
Remember those troll armies they spoke about on the Internet? Well you can still see them to this day, and they are paid $8 – $10 per hour to post nasty comments about political figures on the right, especially those who pose the largest threat to Obama and the DNC and those who can be used as scape goats; some of those individuals are Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck, Michael Steele, Bobby Jindal and of course every troll’s favorite candidate, Sarah Palin – the biggest threat to the establishment, Obama, and the media that exists today because she does serve the people, not herself.
Last month alone, it paid $74,000 in payroll, $23,000 for rent, $10,000 for polling and $6,400 for travel.
Other interesting payments during the first three months of the year, the period covered by Wednesday’s report, included $688,000 in legal fees to the firm of Bob Bauer — the top lawyer for the campaign, the Democratic National Committee, the Obama political group Organizing for America, and the Obama family — and $6,400 to a firm founded by Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.
The report also shows that Obama for America contributed $4 million to the DNC in a pair of contributions in February and March, and refunded $16,700 in contributions to individual donors.
At the end of last month, it was carrying $329,000 in debt, including $15,300 to the former firm of White House political guru David Axelrod.
I hope those of you reading took notice of the amount Obama has paid in legal fees recently. Those of us who like to don our tin foil hats from time to time know exactly what those legal fees were used for…
On another note, Obama still owes Chicago $1.5M for his victory party in Grant Park, if he has that much money still, why hasn’t he paid his own city back?

This whole entire scheme strikes me as being incredibly corrupt and un-democratic, regular citizens should be appalled, but the question is how much of the electorate even knows about all of this; very few.
Obama Goes Back to Campaigning – For Special Election in N.Y.
Perhaps seeking to regain some luster to his presidency, Barack Obama has jumped into the political fray and endorsed Scott Murphy for Congress in NY 20th district.
In an email sent to around 50,000 supporters in the district, the president urged people to organize for the democratic candidate who is running against Republican Jim Tedesco with the winner to take over the seat vacated when Kirsten Gillibrand was elevated to the senate:
Today I’m announcing my support for Scott Murphy, candidate for New York’s 20th Congressional District,” the email reads. “He’s created jobs by building and growing small businesses while bringing people together to address difficult challenges. He supports the economic recovery plan we’ve put in place, and I know we can count on him as an ally for change.
“To restore our economy and build a foundation for lasting prosperity, I’ll need Scott’s help. This week, Scott needs yours. Sign up and pitch in to elect Scott Murphy to Congress.
Polls show a very tight race so this should be very interesting. RNC Chairman Michael Steele is throwing money and expertise into the race while national Republicans of every stripe have come out in support of the GOP candidate.
Now with Obama throwing the weight of his presidency behind Murphy, a defeat would cause great damage. This would lead me to believe that the White House’s internal numbers on the race are pretty favorable to Murphy although in a special election, turnout is the big question mark.
Will Obamabots get out of their houses and vote for Murphy next Tuesday? If not, he and his surrogates will spend the next few days answering questions about why he entered the race in the first place and does a loss indicate a growing uneasiness with his policies.
