Miss California Keeps Her Title!

Carrie Prejean has finally been exonerated.  Not like she should have been held to some unobtainable standard to begin with, but when you are a conservative, and religious at that, liberals feel as though you must either be 100% pure or you’re a hypocrite.

The liberal argument is basically about standards, if you dont’ have any you can’t be held accountable, so needless to say, those that stand on principles will incessantly get harassed by the media and the activists, waiting for the slightest mistake.

Carrie Prejean took photos for a modeling shoot, just as many other females have, who try to get into a career that pertains to beauty and looks.  I think the photos were actually very tasteful and they didn’t show any private body parts nor was she ever fully undressed.  I’m not sure where liberals get off trying to publicly galvanize this woman just for doing a photo shoot to get ahead in her field.  Kathy Ireland is a conservative and incredibly religious for that matter, but nobody made a stink when she was all over the covers of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.  What about all those other celebrities that actually undress themselves and literally pose nude on the cover of Maxim, Playboy, etc.?  It’s ok because they don’t profess to be spiritual or believe in God?  If that’s the case I feel very sorry for those individuals.  They are truly missing out on a wonderful aspect of life that fills many voids I currently see in today’s society.

What amuses me most is the fact that liberals never catch onto the fact that Christian conservatives do not claim to be perfect, in fact it is quite the opposite.  We are trying to be more God-like and live a life similar to that of the apostle Paul (if I could choose an example).  Jesus believed in redemption and treated those who had fallen away and sinned, but came back, as his children.  The prodigal sons and daughters were always the closest to the heart of Jesus.  The only perfect entity in this world is God and it is us mere mortals who attempt to emulate as best we can his teachings, although we know we fall way short.  The only people who have difficulty understanding this concept are those who are either averse to the truth or fear that there may really be some higher power greater than themselves and their ideology.

I was happy to hear that earlier today Donald Trumpmade a statement that dropped the “charges” against Carrie Prejean and she was “allowed” to keep her title as Miss California. I hope she continues to be a champion of the 1st amendment and speaks her mind in a very mature and inviting way.  She deserves to be herself and believe in the things she does without being lambasted by those who feel differently.  Donald Trump made the ironic remark that “We are living in the 21st century…” basically telling all the critics to get a life and get real.  This is America, we are all allowed to have our own opinions, let’s hope that we never lose that.  Freedom is not free…

Oh and liberals… are you going to go after Obambi for his opinion that marriage is only between one man and one woman? —— Crickets…

Carrie, yet again, spoke very well during the press conference today, and here is the part that made me choke up… because of the truth in her words!

New Fairness Doctrine, “Media Diversity”

The FCC will hold a panel discussion entitled media diversity that will consist of 31 media and liberal grievance groups.  The not so surprising thing to all of us will be the lack of representative of conservative outlets and radio programs.  Not one conservative group will be represented in this commission; (media diversity?)

The gathering will take play next week, Thursday, May 7, 2009.

Chairing the meeting is Henry Rivera, a former FCC Commissioner who was (and presumably still is) a strong proponent of the Censorship Doctrine, also mis-known as the “Fairness” Doctrine.

Many, many liberals in Washington have over the last several years called for a reinstatement of the Doctrine. But push-back from people who have read and actually understand the First Amendment led the Left to realize that the political price to bring it back was too high, so they MovedOn.org.

Of course, their desire to silence the lone voices of their opposition had not lessened in the slightest. They’re still just as dictatorial, just pragmatically so.

And it’s not just our imagination – it’s also our lying eyes. The Center for American Progress is a left-wing hack outfit headed by former Clinton Administration and Obama Transition Team adviser John Podesta. And they released on January 22, 2007 a report entitled “Local Media Diversity Matters – Measure Media Diversity According to Democratic Values, Not Market Values.”

I have warned previously that liberals will pass legislation that sounds Utopian and wonderful because of its clever language, but it means something else entirely.

I am all for diversity and equality, so let’s make it real easy and put the same amount of air time on for each opinion on all radio stations and media outlets… This FCC rule would force one side off the air – how constitutional/sarc!

The broadcast license is of course a station’s lifeblood; take it away, or make it impossible to meet the regulatory obligations to keep it, and they are literally out of business.  The Left, no longer comfortable with trying the top-down, all-out assault that is the “Fairness” Doctrine, intends instead to silence conservative and Christian talk via this broadcast license manipulation.

If they can succeed in making it impossible for talk radio to operate as a business, talk radio will cease to operate.  Leftist problem solved.

Think What We Think…Or Else!

This is just too disturbing and it’s a horrible sign of what is going on at universities across the nation.

The irony is that by enforcing policies that create conformists, shape people’s beliefs, and attempt to change values, opinions, and ideologies are, in fact, oppressive by their very nature and hinder freedom. Conservatives have always championed individual rights but get labeled by liberals as dittoheads or conformists. This labeling is amusing since liberals tend to require strength in numbers for their agendas and force those opinions and issues on others through indoctrination and the media. Liberal’s policies struggle to hold up to scrutiny and hard facts. Group think is common amongst liberals and it’s incredibly obvious when you look at party divides. Right leaning people will tend to argue with one another because they champion individualism so much. They don’t all have the same opinions or ideas and it sometimes causes splits inside the overarching party as we have seen lately. This does not happen as often with Liberals who conform and champion the entire group and don’t rock the boat.

By creating agendas that label specific groups by race, religion, and sexuality – they are exacerbating racism and bigotry. I hope that one day people will wake up and realize that separating out groups and tagging people is, by its very nature, racist and prejudiced. To get past any divides that may still exist, we need to treat people as individuals, not groups.

GE Shareholders Are Peeved; Political Outbursts at Meeting

GE shareholder meeting reaches crescendo:

The hostility between Fox News Channel and MSNBC reached a fever pitch Wednesday when a Fox producer infiltrated the GE shareholders meeting.

Just before GE re-elected board members, company brass were hit with questions from shareholders critical of an alleged leftward political slant at MSNBC.

But one of those questions came from Jesse Waters, a producer on “The O’Reilly Factor” whose criticisms were cut short when his microphone was cut off, according to several attendees. Waters apparently did not publicly identify himself as a Fox employee.

If Waters owns stock in GE he can be at the meeting!  Plus, reporting does require one to investigate and get to the truth of the matter.  It is obvious with recent guests like Janeane Garofalo calling conservatives racists, Olbermann calling Cheney and Bush fascists and Rachel Maddow having no idea what she is talking about, may lead people to believe that there is quite a liberal slant on the network.  There is also a lot to be said for Immelt and Zucker’s support of Obama, which has been more visible than previously.  Jack Welch was a lot more tight-lipped about his politics than Immelt when he last ran GE.  Since Immelt’s take over his company, which is usually one of the more stable stocks, has had to consolidate, restructure and cut dividends to try and make ends meet.  Back in the summer of 2008, GE also considered dropping NBC after the Olympics because they did not know how to run a media outlet properly since it did not fit their business practices and core competencies.  Immelt had also been selling equipment that could be used for violent purposes to places like Iran, who are banned on the export/ITAR lists.

Attendees who spoke to THR said shareholders asked about 10 politically charged questions concerning MSNBC as well as one about CNBC.

First up was a woman asking about a reported meeting in which Immelt and NBC Uni CEO Jeff Zucker supposedly told top CNBC executives and talent to be less critical of President Obama and his policies.

Immelt acknowledged a meeting took place but said no one at CNBC was told what to say or not to say about politics.

During the woman’s follow-up question, her microphone was apparently cut off. A short time later, Waters asked a question and his mic was cut, too.

“The crowd was very upset with MSNBC because of its leftward tilt,” one attendee said. “Some former employees said they were embarrassed by it.”

And the shareholders should be embarrassed since the leftward tilt was incredibly obvious when they cut off the microphones of those questioning them – even a woman who was a valid shareholder!  With actions such as the ones mentioned above, are we supposed to believe what they tell us about their account of the CNBC meeting?  Freedom of Speech is not allowed in Obamanation.

“My biggest surprise was the open hostility to MSNBC,” said Tom Borelli of the Free Enterprise Action Fund and a four-year critic of Immelt. “It was noticeable and loud. I don’t remember any of this going on last year.”

“Any time MSNBC was mentioned, there was a rumbling in the crowd of 400 people,” he added. Borelli also asked a question pertaining to GE’s stock performance since Immelt took the helm.

The meeting, which lasted more than two hours, was described by all four of the attendees THR talked to subsequently as variously rancorous or critical. Other than questions about MSNBC, shareholders brought up questions about executive pay and cuts to the company’s dividend.

I’m glad some people are starting to wake up and are starting to speak up – it’s about time!

John Ziegler, Documentarian, Handcuffed at USC for Questioning Katie Couric’s Award for the Sarah Palin Interview; Contrast That with Some Liberal Protestors

By now we are all aware of the media attack/offensive that took place in 2008 to get their guy into office and smear Sarah Palin, the true threat to the liberals in 2008, rather than John McCain.

This documentary (Media Malpractice) shines the light on how the media did everything humanly possible to cover-up Obama’s true colors, his past, his record, his resume, etc. to get him into the White House, meanwhile smearing Hillary Clinton, John McCain and most of all Sarah Palin. Read more
