Hillary Clinton: “Sorry Mexico, It’s Our Fault”

Well folks, if you partake in any illegal substances then you should feel incredibly guilty and ashamed at the drug cartels and their actions in Mexico – it’s your fault!  My appetite, as Hillary stated, is satiable, but I always preferred my drugs from Asian countries, or South American – not Mexico… Sorry Hill – can’t blame me for this one!
Broke Back Cabinet
Hillary Clinton was recently sent to Mexico to discuss the increasing violence in their country, which is now spilling over into parts of United States.  Over 6,300 people have been killed in Mexico due to the drug wars.

“Our insatiable demand for illegal drugs fuels the drug trade. Our inability to prevent weapons from being illegally smuggled across the border to arm these criminals causes the death of police officers, soldiers and civilians,” Clinton said. “I feel very strongly we have a co-responsibility.”

Great… they will use this crisis to sell their anti-gun agenda.  They will blame the guns and violence on our own weapons being sold to Mexico, not realizing that many of their assault weapons come from the black market and other governments as well as the corrupt police union in Mexico.  The democrats are loving all these crises!

A Trade War With Mexico

Earth to the Democrats: Breaking agreements have consequences!

The Mexican government is rightfully incensed in regard to the new stimulus that passed congress and was signed by the president.  Some of the language that was placed into the bill has undermined the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

Charles Krauthammer wrote the following:

That bill, we now discover, contains, among other depth charges, a Teamster-supported provision inserted by Sen. Byron Dorgan that terminates a Bush-era demonstration project to allow some Mexican trucks onto American highways, as required under NAFTA.

If you thought the AIG hysteria was a display of populist cynicism directed at a relative triviality, consider this: There are more than 6.5 million trucks in the United States. The program Congress terminated allowed 97 Mexican trucks to roam among them. Ninety-seven! Shutting them out not only undermines NAFTA. It caused Mexico to retaliate with tariffs on 90 goods affecting $2.4 billion in U.S. trade coming out of 40 states.

Mexico is now retaliating by charging $2.4B in tariffs on 89 different U.S. goods, which had been duty-free since 1994.

Mexico also knows specifically, which goods they will place tariffs on:

Ricardo Alday, spokesman for the Mexican Embassy in Washington said pressuring politicians by hitting imports from states with key Democratic leaders with tariffs of up to 90 percent “is one the main considerations,” for the action, the Dallas Morning News reported Wednesday.

The official list of products has not been released, but a draft obtained by economist Dermot Hayes at the University of Iowa suggest the tariffs will pinpoint almonds from California, sunglasses from Illinois, bowling equipment from Nevada and books from New York — the home states of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, President Barack Obama, Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
