Leon Panetta Speaking Out Against Pelosi
I will be taking bets later… Make a guess for Pelosi stepping down this year…
The sharks are circling and the Democrats sense it. Steny Hoyer wants to be speaker and other Democrats don’t want to be associated with this woman or her statements. Even lefty Leon Panetta is backing the CIA and speaking to his employees to reassure them that they acted appropriately and nobody lied or misled congress.
CIA Director Leon Panetta just sent a stern message to his employees defending the agency against Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s criticisms.
His message: We didn’t mislead Congress; stay focused on your job.
Panetta’s note was sent to reporters via the CIA press office. Here’s the key graph:
“Let me be clear: It is not our policy or practice to mislead Congress. That is against our laws and our values. As the Agency indicated previously in response to Congressional inquiries, our contemporaneous records from September 2002 indicate that CIA officers briefed truthfully on the interrogation of Abu Zubaydah, describing “the enhanced techniques that had been employed.” Ultimately, it is up to Congress to evaluate all the evidence and reach its own conclusions about what happened.”

Detainee Photos ‘Leaked’ to Australia
The UK news is reporting that the photos Obama was supposedly protecting were somehow leaked to reporters in Australia. If this is the case, then surely there was never any attempt to be made to truly protect these photos or the national security of the United States. This grandstanding on the photos was a smoke screen to gain political capital after looking at the polling data that showed most Americans did not want the photos released, nor do they want these detainees in their backyards, etc. This gave Obama leeway to say it was not his doing or his fault for the leaks or the release. It will only be speculation that he had planned this to happen:
Photographs of the alleged abuse of prisoners in Iraq thought to be among those that Barack Obama is trying to prevent from being published have been released.
Pictures apparently showing Iraqi inmates being subjected to degrading treatment were disclosed the day after Mr Obama announced a legal bid to stop more than 2,000 images being seen.
It is alleged that the pictures, one of which shows a naked man hung upside down from a bunk bed, are among those that the president wanted suppressed.
Mr Obama fears a backlash against U.S. troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Further images purportedly from the 2,000 include one of a naked man covered in excrement with a guard standing in front of him.Others yet to be released are alleged to show guards threatening to sexually assault a detainee with a broomstick and hooded prisoners in transport planes with copies of Playboy magazine showing naked women open on their laps.
The president had previously committed to allowing them to be seen but changed his mind after senior generals said it could place U.S. troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan in greater danger.
The images were released in Australia yesterday where they were originally obtained by the television channel SBS in the wake of the Abu Ghraib prison abuse scandal.

So again, can we please put these Democrats making statements and approving of waterboarding up on the stand during the truth commissions as well? I feel it would only be fair so the Americans can get the full picture!

San Fran Nan Continues to Spin
Nancy Pelosi continues to dig herself a deeper hole. She says one thing then another, but then she says something else entirely a week later. It’s quite obvious that this woman is a lying weasel. She should be interrogated intensely or at least strapped to a lie detector test. I’m so tired of this woman and uber liberals who spin information for a political agenda without any regard for national security.
Nancy Pelosi stated that she received inaccurate and misleading information. She continued to say that the CIA misled the Congress, even though other members who attended the briefings state otherwise and have a different recollection of the information provided. The CIA is not an entity I would want to mess with or malign for self-centered political gain.
Republicans and Democrats are requesting that the CIA release and declassify the notes from the briefings. What political motives does the CIA have to “mislead” the public? They don’t get voted in or need to worry about what they say or do to make a constituency happy…
It should be appalling to everyone that Piglosi actually stated that she was more concerned with politics than the security of Americans when she admitted that she was not aware of the policies, although ranking members are usually kept completely abreast of any and all information in Congress, but rather, the next elections to gain a Democrat majority.
At what point can you impeach or fire a member of Congress for lying or perjury?

Well, if we are into persecuting people, maybe we should persecute Democrats for all their fraud and corruption and their collapsing of the economy – Dodd and Frank would be the first two up!
So with that said – the only way to resolve that is to dump Dodd and vote for Rob Simmons!
